Real-Time MC

The Real-Time MC will focus on areas of discussion around real-time technology, with an emphasis on the current RT tree and ongoing work.

Sample Topics

* anything interesting wrt real-time

Schedule

Will be here once finalized.

Discussion notes

This is a good place to record notes from your session. All too often, if notes were not written down, the session might as well not have happened.

Contact

This is being proposed by Nivedita Singhvi niv@us.ibm.com for Thomas Gleixner (tglx@linutronix.de, RT maintainer) and key RT folks. Thomas agreed we should have the proposal for the MC session in place, so that we can get going once confirmed (he is still unsure about being able to attend, I might have to get him a boat to avoid flying ;)).

Steven Rostedt, Clark Williams (both Red Hat) will be attending (as will, I trust, Paul McKenney :)). Hopefully Peter Zilstra will also be able to make it, as will John Kacur. Will try and get as many other folks interested in discussing Real-Time.

Update, july 12, 2013

Basically, all agreed that this MC is valuable if Thomas can attend, and the RT community, although mostly attending LPC anyway, will skip having an RT MC if Thomas can't make it.

Partial Potential Attendee List if we have MC:

  • Steven Rostedt (Red Hat)
  • Clark Williams (Red Hat)
  • John Kacur (Red Hat)
  • Darren Hart (Intel)
  • Dhaval Giani (Univ of Toronto)
  • Paul McKenney (IBM)
  • Frederic Weisbecker (Red Hat)
  • Several others….

Trying to get final ack/nack from Thomas at the moment – Nivedita
